Yellow cab – detail of VR model

One view of the Yellow cab I crafted for the album cover and video using my VR painting approach. The beauty of a VR model is that, like a 3D sculpture, I can paint/sculpt it in an artistic way rather than as a technical exercise which creating 3D objects in 2D environments is. I can then look at from any angle, zoom in or out, even view it from the inside.

What inspired me to do a yellow cab

– maybe it was the idea of the emptiness of waiting for a fare in the middle of nowhere late at night

– but really I have no idea.
