Gundaroo farmstead among the trees

I loved the grey sky after it had been snowing a little. It was not cold or heavy enough for it to settle on the ground but it had been nice while it lasted. This shows the view down to a farm with pump house, barn and horse float. The half corrugated water tank in the centre was part of a disused pigsty in the centre. I think it expresses the idea of a generally damp coldish landscape pretty well.

Painted in oil on 24″x18″ artist board and mounted in a beeswax treated Tasmanian oak float frame.

SOLD (Sutton Village Gallery).
